What DUBO is
DUBO is a social casino game: a 3D island resort in your browser where you and your friends walk the floors as clay-toy goofs, talk out loud and play casino games together. Every game is played with play chips. Play chips are free, have no cash value and can never be bought, sold, exchanged, withdrawn or transferred between players. Nothing you win in DUBO is money.
DUBO also has a test wallet. It runs on a test network with test tokens that are worth nothing, exists only to try deposits and withdrawals safely, and may be reset at any time. No real money is accepted or paid out anywhere in DUBO.
These terms are an agreement between you and DUBO, the operator of playdubo.com and app.playdubo.com (together, the Service). By playing you accept them. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.
Who can play
- You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if it is higher.
- You must be allowed to use social casino games where you are. Some countries and regions restrict them, and it is your responsibility to check.
- You confirm your age before your first round and again when you create an account. Lying about your age ends your account.
- If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has been playing, contact us (section 12) and we will delete the account.
Guests and accounts
You can play as a guest with just a name, or create a free account to keep your chips, level, cosmetics and history. One account per person. Your username must not impersonate someone else, DUBO or its staff, and must not contain insults, slurs or sexual content: we may rename or refuse such names.
Keep your password and your recovery codes to yourself. You are responsible for everything done with your account until you tell us it was compromised. We never ask for your password.
- Guest sessions, their chips and their look are deleted about a month after your last visit.
- From the account page you can change your password, see your sessions and sign them all out, export your data and delete your account. A deleted account can be recovered for 30 days by signing in again; after that it is gone.
Play chips, rewards and cosmetics
- Every goof starts with play chips and can refill them when they run low. We may change starting amounts, refill rules, rewards and prices at any time.
- Levels, daily bonuses, quests, races and referral rewards pay play chips or cosmetics. They are gifts of the game, not earnings, and can be changed, paused or withdrawn.
- Cosmetics, items and looks are a licence to use them inside DUBO. You do not own them and cannot sell or transfer them.
- Leaderboards and races rank players by play chips wagered or won. Their prizes are play chips or cosmetics, never money.
- During the preview we may reset play chips, cosmetics, progress and test wallets, for example to fix a bug or after a major update. We try to avoid it and announce it when we can.
Fair play
Every result is drawn on our server, never in your browser, from a provably fair seed you can check (see the Fair play page). Every game shows its rules and its return to player on the easel beside it.
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, macros or any automation to play or to farm rewards;
- exploit bugs or unintended behaviour, or trade on them;
- modify, reverse engineer or tamper with the game client, the network messages or the server;
- run several accounts to gain an advantage, or share an account;
- use the Service for anything illegal.
When a bug affects a round, we may void the round and restore the balances to what they were before it. We may remove play chips, cosmetics or rewards gained through cheating.
Behaviour on the island
DUBO is a shared room with real people in it, and we want it to stay a good night out. Names, looks, voice chat, text chat, emotes and anything you throw are covered by these rules.
- No harassment, bullying, threats or stalking.
- No hate speech: nothing that attacks people for who they are.
- No sexual content, and nothing involving minors.
- No spam, advertising, scams or links to other gambling services.
- No impersonating other players, DUBO or its staff.
- No sharing of anyone's personal information.
You can mute, block and report other players from the game. We review reports and may warn, mute, kick, suspend or ban players and network addresses, without notice when the behaviour is serious.
Content and streaming
The island, its games, characters, art, sounds, names and code belong to DUBO and its licensors. You may not copy, sell or reuse them outside the Service.
Your name, your goof's look and what you say are yours. You give us a licence to show them to other players and in the game's live feeds and leaderboards, which is how a shared room works.
You are welcome to stream, record and clip DUBO and to post it anywhere, including on monetised channels. Please show it for what it is: a play money social casino. Do not present DUBO as real-money gambling, and do not use clips of it to promote real-money gambling.
A game in preview
DUBO is in active development. Floors, games, odds, rules, features, limits and the look of things change often, sometimes without notice. We publish the main changes on the devlog.
We do our best to keep the island open, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates and failures happen; when we can, we warn players in the game before a restart.
Ending things
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from the account page. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. Since play chips, cosmetics and test tokens have no value, nothing is owed when an account closes.
Our responsibility
DUBO is provided as it is and as available, for entertainment only. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost play chips, cosmetics, progress, test tokens or data, for interruptions of the Service, or for anything other players say or do. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. For important changes we also post a notice in the game or on the devlog. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree with them, stop using the Service and delete your account.
